Refund Policy

Food Safety & Final Sale

Due to the nature of food products and in accordance with FDA food safety standards and cottage food best practices, all freeze-dried food products are final sale once shipped.

For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges of food items.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

We stand behind the quality of our products. We will offer a replacement, store credit, or refund if:

  • Your order arrives damaged

  • You receive an incorrect item

  • The product is defective due to a packaging or processing issue

To qualify:

  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery

  • Include your order number

  • Provide clear photos of the product and original packaging

Approved claims will be resolved, at our discretion, by:

  • Replacement shipment

  • Store credit

  • Refund to the original payment method

Subscription Orders (Auto-Ship & Recurring Purchases)

All subscription shipments are subject to the same food safety rules and are final sale once shipped.

Managing or Canceling Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions may be paused, modified, or canceled up to 48 hours before the next scheduled fulfillment

  • Once a subscription order enters processing, it cannot be canceled or refunded

Subscription Errors or Damage

If a subscription shipment arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will replace or refund that shipment following the Damaged or Incorrect Orders process above.

No Refunds for Missed Changes

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Forgotten cancellations

  • Failure to update shipping or payment information

  • Changes made after the fulfillment cutoff

Lost or Delayed Shipments

Once an order has been handed to the carrier, we are not responsible for shipping delays or carrier errors. If a package is marked as delivered but not received, customers must first contact the carrier. We will assist where possible but cannot guarantee refunds for carrier-related issues.

No Refunds for Preference or Improper Handling

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Taste, texture, or flavor preference

  • Change of mind

  • Improper storage after delivery

  • Failure to follow preparation, rehydration, or storage instructions

  • Exposure to moisture, heat, or contamination after delivery

Cottage Food & Regulatory Disclosure

Our products are shelf-stable freeze-dried foods prepared in compliance with applicable state and federal food safety regulations, including cottage food or commercial food rules where applicable.

Products are:

  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

  • Intended for consumption only as directed

  • Best stored according to packaging instructions to maintain safety and quality

Cultural Acknowledgment & Indigenous Knowledge

Our foods are rooted in place-based, cultural, and indigenous food knowledge. We honor the communities, traditions, and ancestral practices that inform our ingredients and preparation methods.

Purchasing our products does not confer ownership, rights, or authority over any cultural knowledge, recipes, or traditions. We ask customers to engage with our foods respectfully and responsibly, recognizing the living cultures they represent.
